Ter-Petrosyan expresses condolences

Levon Ter-Petrosyan has sent a letter to the office of First President of the Czech Republic Vatslav Havel.

"On behalf of the Armenian National Congress, I express my sincere condolences to President Havel's family and the people of the Czech Republic.

Vatslav Havel will go down in history as a leader that led his nation's victorious struggle for democracy. However, he wasn't only important in his homeland. President Havel's unconditional dedication to democratic values and principles served as a source of motivation for an entire generation of people fighting for democracy in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union," as stated in the letter of condolence.
