Member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Felix Khachatryan today enraged Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) member Hamlet Harutyunyan with his quotations from the Electoral Code.

"Am I a child? I could have prepared myself. I could have learnt the article beforehand. You see he is well prepared," said insulted Harutyunyan.

Felix Khachatryan had to remind his Republican opponent that he quoted from the very Electoral Code Hamlet Harutyunyan had voted for.

"My scientific titles and experience allow me to debate with you," said the ANC representative.
Meanwhile, Hamlet Harutyunyan wanted to ‘debate over political issues.'

To this, Felix Khachatryan said, "And what should we do with our code which envisages that all electoral rolls be kept secret?"

"Do you know why the electoral lists are kept in secret? They include the names or signatures of the 500 000 citizens who are not in Armenia," observed the ANC representative.

Hamlet Harutyunyan hurried to inform his opponent that electoral lists are confidential in all countries but could not name any such country.
"There are not such countries, electoral lists are publicized immediately after the elections," said Khachatryan.

Summing up the political year, the ANC member said that the country is stepping 2012 with a bad code, bad authorities and failed dialogue between the opposition and ruling coalition. Further, he expressed hope that people will be able to change the power.
