Armenian FM participates in BSEC Foreign Ministers’ meeting

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian participated in the 25th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC).

Participating in the sitting were also representatives of observer countries and a number of international organizations.

Issues on the agenda included cooperation in the fields of trade, information technologies, agriculture, environmental protection, tourism and responding to emergency situations.

Speaking at the meeting, Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the improvement of the organization's activity, promotion of concrete regional programs ahead of the 20th anniversary of BSEC.

Minister Nalbandian welcomed the declarations adopted by BSEC Ministers of Transport, Agriculture and Emergency Situations.

BSEC Foreign Ministers adopted over 80 decisions and proposals as a result at the outcome of the meeting. Russia handed over the chairmanship of the Organization to Serbia. The latter will preside over the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization in the first half of 2012.
