Turks try to attract European markets through Armenia
The Gyumri Development Foundation launched the second "Gyumri-Kars Economic Forum" on December 14, 2011 in Gyumri. The three-day event is organized within the framework of "Assistance to Improvement of Armenia-Turkey Relations" program with the support of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The forum will host representatives of about 30 Armenian and Turkish companies. It aims to strengthen business ties between Armenian and Turkish entrepreneurs. While presenting their goods Turkish businessmen voiced hope that in the future they would find avenues for collaboration with their Armenian counterparts. One of the Turkish businessmen even said that he would try to attract European buyers through Armenian markets.
