U.S. Ambassador, RA Ombudsman discuss further cooperation
Armenian Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan received on Wednesday U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern. The Ombudsman wished the newly appointed Ambassador a fruitful cooperation with local state agencies and civil society.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to human rights protection as well as upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in Armenia.
At the end of the meeting, the sides emphasized the continuing cooperation between the Armenian Ombudsman's Office and the Embassy, as well as the continuation of programs with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
