Lady Hakob’s nephew arrested on murder charges
According to our sources, Stepan Hakobyan, a nephew of former MP Hakob Hakobyan (Lady Hakob) has been arrested near Barekamutyun (Freindship) metro station.
Stepan Hakobyan is accused of murdering Sedrak Zatikyan, the son of the late Vahan Zatikyan who was the head of Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia district.
Sedrak Zatikyan was killed on June 22, 2006 in a drive-by shooting in Malatia-Sebastia district. According to eye-witnesses, assailants fired numerous rounds at Zatikyan's vehicle before escaping. Zatikyan apparently died before his vehicle crashed into a heavy truck. A resident of the district, Karina Sargsyan (born in 1969), who was in the street at the moment, also became a victim of the shootout.
