Serzh Sargsyan holds meetings in Italy
Within the framework of a visit to Italy, Serzh Sargsyan had a meeting with the Chairman of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Gianfranco Fini.
The parties attached importance to the reinforcement of parliamentary ties and development of economic and cultural relations. They expressed the confidence that active contacts and mutual visits will facilitate the process.
Further, the interlocutors stressed that the friendship between the two peoples and countries rooted on firm historical-cultural ties can serve as a good ground for the further deepening and development of bilateral relations.
Serzh Sargsyan and Gianfranco Fini reached an agreement on specific steps toward this cooperation.
Serzh Sargsyan also met with the Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Head of the Italian Delegation at the OSCE Ricardo Miliori. They emphasized the importance of periodic meetings and discussions, which contribute to the deepening of cooperation between Armenia and the OSCE, as well as the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the National Assembly of Armenia.
The Armenian delegation led by Serzh Sargsyan will to leave for Venice later in the day.
