V. Gasparyan: “It is instructive”

RA Police Chief, general-lieutenant Vladimir Gasparyan today received Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili.

According to the RA Police press release, Vladimir Gasparyan presented the reforms that are taking place, the achievements, the future actions and the new approaches that will make the structure meet today's demands.

Touching upon the reforms in the Georgian police system, the police chief mentioned that that process was quite interesting, acceptable and instructive.

The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the reforms taking place in the RA police system and underlined that Georgia was interested in the efficiency of Armenian police officers.

Touching upon the cooperation between Armenian and Georgian police, Tengiz Sharmanashvili noted that the cooperation was at a high level and that evidence of that were the revelations of specific crimes. The Ambassador mentioned that it would be preferable to see more reciprocal visits of Armenian and Georgian police officers and the exchange of experience, which will allow the sides to achieve better results in the joint struggle against crimes.
