Out of the Russian opposition leaders, Boris Nemtsov has demanded the resignation of President of the Central Electoral Commission Vladimir Churov at Bolotni Square in Moscow.

Joining him are those at the square, and according to Russian presses, there are 40-80,000 people. The people are stretching toward the platform and there is pushing and shoving.

Last evening, the Central Electoral Commission of the Russian Federation summed up the final results of the elections that had filled the opposition with indignation. "Yabloko" had demanded that the CEC declare the elections as invalid since they had been held through falsifications, injustice and lack of transparency.

The CEC had obviously denied the demand, and now the opposition is preparing to protest the results in court.

People are continuing to move toward Bolotniy Square where the opposition forces will hold a joint rally.

"Comersant" reports that there are police officers at almost every corner in central Moscow. They have closed down the bridge leading people to Bolotniy Square, saying that the bridge may collapse due to the weight of an overload of people.

Those who have been sentenced to prison for 15 days are holding a unique protest in their cells by simply making noise.
