Georgia’s historical lands to Azerbaijan?
Georgia and Azerbaijan have reached an agreement on only 300 kilometers of the common border zone, and 180 kilometers of territory remains disputed.
The border between both countries is 480 km. According to SalamNews, that is what Head of the State Council for Land and Mapping Gharib Mamedov told Azerbaijani mass media outlets.
According to him, Georgian and Azerbaijani experts have visited the border to determine the issue of the territory that has turned into an apple of discord through a commission.
Mamedov has emphasized that it is still unclear as to when that process will end and has mentioned that "Georgia has presented some document confirming the historical territories".
"We will present our document to the opposing side," Gharib Mamedov told journalists.
