President of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia Ruben Sahakyan notices positivity and negativity in the protection of human rights in Armenia.

"I feel the positivity. There are steps being taken to make people more protected," Sahakyan told "A1+" on the occasion of International Human Rights Day.

According to Sahakyan, citizens' rights are violated everywhere and in all situations where something is up to the citizens. "The reason is because we all wouldn't like to see our rights violated, but we don't think about others' rights."

The President o fthe Chamber of Advocates of Armenia is certain that it is all about changing the society's mindset. "The situation will remain the same no matter who holds the office in any structure."

Are your rights violated? In response, Ruben Sahakyan said: "No, because I don't allow it. I am always consistent in the protection of my rights. If they violate my rights, they offend me. If I or anybody else who has studied and graduated from the same university as I have, why should that person violate my rights simply because he is an investigator, a prosecutor or judge? We are all guided by the same code."
