The Russian National Security Service is pressuring the administrations of social networks with the demand to block the websites of opposition groups, says creator of "B KOHTAKTE" (V Kontakte) website Pavel Durov. According to him, the website administration has denied the National Security Service's demand.
Durov talked about this with the administration, which supports well-known blogger, opposition member Alexander Navalni. As is known, he is under a 15-day arrest for participating in the rally held at "Chistie Prudi".
"We won't do that in principle. I don't know how it will all end, but we are strong," Durov said, mentioning that the social network administration will only block the websites that call on people to apply force.
As for "B KONTAKTE" (V Kontakte), according to Durov, "it is a 100 percent non-political website that is targeted neither at the government nor the opposition and isn't politically affiliated," reports Газета. Ru.
