Serzh Sargsyan given a pin
During the first plenary session of the congress of the European People's Party held in Marseilles on December 7, President of the European People's Party Wilfried Martens invited Serzh Sargsyan to the Summit of Leaders of European Countries and Governments to be held on December 8.
"From this day forth, you can consider yourself a member of the large family of the European People's Party," Martens declared as he addressed Serzh Sargsyan. After his speech, he solemnly transmitted the invitation and the pin of EPP members.
In his speech, Martens mentioned that Armenia is a gateway between the East and the West, and that the European family and Armenia have common roots, heritage and destiny, as reported by the press service of the Republican Party of Armenia.
