ARFD presents a motion of no confidence
ARF-Dashnaktsutyun today presented a motion of no confidence in the government, demanding the resignation of the executive body.
ARFD MP Armen Rustamyan said the government has failed to fulfill its commitments' and called on the parliament majority to join the motion.
The ARFD needs to collect 27 signatures to apply to the Constitutional Court. The party is represented by 16 deputies which is not enough to file a motion with the CC; therefore Armen Rustamyan called on the ruling coalition MPs for support.
"Otherwise, we shall have all grounds to claim that the executive body supported by the legislative body neglects its constitutional liabilities," said Rustamyan.
Minister of Finance Vache Gabrielyan opposed to Rustamyan, saying the government has always been committed to the coalition programs, directions and priorities.
Armen Rustamyan suggested postponing the vote until Thursday since the National Assembly could not raise the required quorum to vote the issue.
