Anahit Bakhshyan again counts MPs
At the beginning of today's parliament session, Heritage MP Anahit Bakhshyan announced that only 68 of the 74 registered MPs were present in the hall.
"They may have left the hall after the registration," NA Vice-Speaker Samvel Balasanyan said.
"I have been very attentive. No one has left the hall," the Heritage MP replied.
The NA sitting was presided over by Samvel Nikoyan, who was elected the new National Assembly Speaker on Tuesday.
The National Assembly started today's session with a minute of silence for the victims of the 1988 devastating earthquake.
ARF-Dashnaktsutyun MP Artvik Minasyan said the party would not vote on a draft bill regarding modifications to wage scales of top officials in various executive, legislative and judicial bodies.
The bill was put to the vote but did not pass. However, Samvel Balasanyan declared that the bill would again be put to the vote on Thursday since part of the MPs failed to participate in the vote. After the announcement, ARF-Dashnaktsutyun MPs left the hall.
