Citizen of Belgium, Armenian National Congress activist Luc Wadewale has been charged with Points 2 and 5, Article 258 (3) of the RA Criminal Code, that is, hooliganism orchestrated with cynicism and for showing resistance against a person impeding violation of social order.

Until then, Luc had been charged with using swear words.

"When they realized that Luc couldn't use swear words because he didn't know Armenian, they decided to change the charge," Luc's wife, Gayane Vardanyan told "A1+" today.

Gayane Vardanyan has also been charged with Article 258 (1) (hooliganism).

We remind that on November 28, Gayane and her husband went to high school N 94 in Ajapnyak district where their daughter is enrolled. The school lacks heating, and the administration requires that each student pay 3,000 drams to install a heating system.

Luc Wadewale informed the schoolteachers and the school vice-principal, Mrs. Mkhitaryan. A dispute took place on the first floor of the school's building and when the school's storage owner, according to Gayane Vardanyan, tried to hit Luc, the latter went back, hit Serzh Sargsyan's picture, which fell and broke. The school administration presented the police with a message stating that Vadeval had "intentionally broken Serzh Sargsyan's picture and had used swear words" against Sargsyan" and presented the above mentioned accusation.

Tomorrow Wadewale and his wife will meet with Belgium's Consul and will inform him about the latest developments.
