Ex-chairman of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan says the Armenian National Congress will be represented in the next parliament to be formed, even though he refuses to make early predictions since it will be based on the people's choice.

He also didn't wish to comment on ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan's offer to Prosperous Armenia Party for collaboration. "I ask you to ask those who should answer that question."

Touching upon the interior political developments and the possible formation of alliances, Hovik Abrahamyan noted: "Pre-electoral processes are in progress, and each political force is trying to specify its position and trying to understand which parties will team up. I think these are very simple steps and shouldn't be linked to any process. They should simply be linked to the electoral campaign. We have started the process, and the political forces must specify their steps. I find that there is a coalition between the Republican Party of Armenia, Prosperous Armenia Party and "Country of Law" Party and it is still working."

Haven't you regretted resigning as the country's second figure? In response, Hovik Abrahamyan said: "No, I have considered it for a long time."

Hovik Abrahamyan says he is not preparing to give the newly elected NA chairman advice. "Samvel Nikoyan doesn't need advice because he has proved that through his activities in the past three years."

MP Hovik Abrahamyan will not be making laws during the spring sitting. "I will be passive after January. It is time for the party's headquarters to be active in order for our party and everyone to achieve success. We have taken on a huge responsibility. We understand the price of that and will do everything possible to register success."
