PM visits the disabled
In light of the International Day of Disabled Persons, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited "Pyunik" Union for the Disabled with the accompaniment of RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artur Grigoryan. The head of government talked to the disabled, got acquainted with their issues, as well as programs and activities.
The head of government was informed that the disabled athletes training at the Union recently achieved great heights. During the open championship of Slavonic countries held in Ukraine, the Armenian athletes scored the gold and bronze medals, as well as a silver medal during the world weightlifting championship for the disabled held in the United Arab Emirates. The athletes are currently preparing for the 2012 Paralympic Games to be held in London in summer 2012, reports the RA Government's Department of Information and Public Relations.
