Sargsyan brothers embezzled $ 31 million dollars
The bankruptcy of Armenia's giant chemical plant was imitated, according to Harutyun Arakelyan, vice-chairman of the Democratic Liberal Party of Armenia (HRAK). The plant has been standing idle for one and a half years.
"While factories producing rubber are being shut down worldwide and new markets are opening for Nairit, the factory is standing idle," Harutyun Arakelyan told a news conference on Friday.
He continues to accuse Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and his brother Ashot Sargsyan, Deputy Director of Nairit plant, of embezzling $ 31 million dollars and leaving 20 000 people unemployed.
The HRAK vice-chairman is glad that the Prosecutor's Office started investigating his report on embezzlement.
"I want them to take my statements seriously and question the prime minister and his brother," said Arakelyan.
