Tigran L. Petrosian takes bronze in India
Armenian Grandmaster Tigran L Petrosian defeated India champion Abhijeet Gupta in the last 11th round of the Vizag GM International Open Chess Championship to share 1st-5th positions with 8,5 points. The reigning India champion Abhijeet Gupta entered the final round with full a point advantage ahead of the competition but then he was defeated by the 2nd-seeded Tigran L Petrosian.
By additional points, Petrosian took a bronze medal, while Gupta took gold.
Armenia's Zaven Andreasyan tied his game against Indian Sahaj Grover and came 6th with 8 points.
