We have liberated part of our territories, but we have not liberated our citizens, says Heritage Party parliamentary faction MP Zaruhi Postanjyan.

"The presidential administration has created an atmosphere where each Armenian feels an alien in his homeland," the Heritage MP said in connection with the 20th anniversary of Nagorno-Karabakh independence referendum.

The Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians held a referendum on December 10, 1991 to announce the historical significance of the Armenian second state.

"Our behavior is unacceptable and condemnable since during the twenty years of independence 1,5million Armenians have left their homeland. This destructive program is still continuing," the deputy said with sorrow.

"During these twenty years, Armenians could not perceive themselves as free and dignified citizens of independent Armenia," she stressed.

"We are all eager to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Armenian second state as a pan-national holiday in the same way as we celebrate December 10 as Human Rights Day," she said.
