Sharmazanov: “There’s nothing sensational”
During the session of the Republican Party's council, according to RPA speaker Eduard Sharmazanov, leader of the party Serzh Sargsyan nominated Samvel Nikoyan in the office of NA Chairman.
"Since the issue of the NA Vice-Chairman emerged after Samvel Nikoyan's nomination, that was also put up for discussion, and the party's leader nominated the faction's secretary Eduard Sharmazanov, meaning me," Eduard Sharmazanov said.
He also informed that Gagik Melikyan was nominated in the office of the faction's secretary. All three proposals were unanimously accepted, and the elections for the offices will take place during the parliament's next four-day session after December 5.
At "A1+"'s request, Eduard Sharmazanov also touched upon the incident that took place during the NA session yesterday when Republican MP Arakel Movsisyan (Shmays) called his "Heritage" partner Armen Martirosyan an "animal".
"Those are natural passions flaring in parliament. I am not saying it's good, but it's natural," he mentioned.
According to the RPA speaker, it is impossible to refrain from passions in parliaments of different countries.
"It would be very nice if it were ideal, but like life, parliamentarism is not always perfect. There is nothing sensational," Mr. Sharmazanov mentioned.
