Loads to be transferred, agreement signed

Director General of South Caucasus Railway CJSC Shevket Shaydullin and Director General of Black Sea Ferry and Investments (BFI) LTD Khokim Matchanov yesterday evening signed an agreement on regulating railway transfers.
According to that agreement, SCR CJSC will provide Black Sea Ferry and Investments its locomotive for transferring loads to Armenia and services for regulating the process of railway transfers.

As a pan-national transport company, SCR especially focuses on strategic cooperation with Black Sea Ferry and Investments LTD, which is an operator of the Caucasus harbor-Poti harbor-Caucasus harbor marine railway. A large part of loads is imported to Armenia through the ferry.

BFI is the operator for several railway directions.

The Caucasus-Poti ferry and the international transportation passage of the Republic of Armenia allow the organizing of load transfers to Armenia in a short amount of time and with minimum expenses. The ferry can store 50 cisterns, that is, 50 wagons of wheat or 40 closed universal wagons, 21,220 fut containers. The BFI's ferries on the Caucasus-Poti course transfer 1,500 wagons of loads a year in two directions.
