Parliament postpones important draft law
During an extraordinary session convened by the government, the National Assembly postponed the vote on the draft law "On making amendments in and additions to the RA law on an expert examination of the impact on the environment". The National Assembly has come to terms with the government and has decided to hold parliamentary hearings with environmental organizations on Friday.
Deputies yesterday declared that this draft law hasn't been discussed in the NA corresponding committee and considered it urgent to put the decision up for a vote. According to environmentalists, the draft law includes many flaws and "points that are dangerous to the country's nature".
Like yesterday, the National Assembly hall was half-empty and there were only 18 deputies. The deputies are currently discussing the draft law on possible amendments in the RA law "On Ensuring Road Safety".
The National Assembly has already voted for and adopted the amendments in the laws "On Income Tax", "On Mandatory Social Payments", "On Banks and Banking", "On Profit Tax" and "On Application of Cash Registers".
