Facebook users make demands
The Our City public-civil initiative has posted three demands regarding the preservation and construction of buildings of historical-cultural value in central Yerevan on the initiative's Facebook page. The statement has been signed by nearly 150 users, including individuals, civil initiatives, non-governmental organizations and other structures.
The demands are related to the possible urbanization projects being planned or to be implemented at the price of the historical-cultural buildings in Yerevan.
"We are against the idea of demolishing any building in central Yerevan that is more than 50 years old for any condition or other goals for urbanization," as stated in the statement.
