"We say no to violence!"
Two protests were held in Yerevan as part of 16-day campaign against gender violence.
The activists of the first action organized by the Women's' Rights Center installed a photo at the intersection of Northern Avenue and Abovyan Street depicting a quarrel between a husband and wife taking place before the eyes of their child.
The open air street protest dubbed "The Wall of Shame" immediately attacked passers-by who left their comments on the wall.
Soon the photo was covered with the following notes "We say no to violence," "Violence is inherent in men," "I am ashamed that our boys have stereotypes" and the like.
"The Wall of Confession" was placed in Northern Avenue by a group called "Do not Tolerate Violence." Passers-by were invited to leave their comments on violence against women. The action was organized by the Women's Resource Centre
