Soldier defended by sacrificing life
"Soldier Aren Simonyan showed courage and defended our country's border when the opponent had violated the ceasefire regime and had opened fire toward the positions of the NKR," NKR Presiddent Bako Sahakyan's press speaker David Babayan told "A1+".
Drvier at military unit N of the NK Defense Army, soldier Aren Simonyan today died after being shot by the opponent.
By the NKR President's November 19 decree, Aren Simonyan was granted a post-mortum "Combat Service" Medal for showing courage while defending the NKR state border.
David Babayan didn't provide any further details.
