Armenian and Georgian Prime Ministers Tigran Sargsyan and Nika Gilauri headed the session of the Armenian-Georgian inter-governmental economic commission in Batumi. The sides discussed a broad range of issues related to the deepening and strengthening of economy, education, culture, tourism and other spheres.

Tigran Sargsyan mentioned that the programs for cooperation with the European Union contribute to the introduction of a common economic policy in Armenia and Georgia, which in turn will allow the increase of the level of circulation of products.

Greeting the Armenian governmental delegation, Nika Gilauri attached importance to great economic ties established between Armenia and Georgia. He mentioned that there are several Armenian-Georgian projects that are related to the management of customs points, the construction of electric lines and more.

"We definitely have to continue negotiations over complete implementation of joint projects. Currently, Armenia and Georgia are implementing reforms in different spheres that will be the major instruments for implementation of joint projects," Nika Gilauri said, thanking Tigran Sargsyan and the delegates for the good work.

After the session, the Armenian and Georgian Prime Ministers signed a protocol on the results of the 9th session of the Armenian-Georgian inter-governmental commission.
