The West's threats to Iran are nothing new, but they are unrealistic. This is what Iraniologist Mher Baghdasaryan and Turkologist Andranik Ispiryan said during a press conference today.

Iraniologist Mher Baghdasryan is sure that a military attack against Iran in a dangerous region will have unpredictable consequences, and Azerbaijan can take advantage of that and make military ventures against Karabakh.

Mher Baghdasryan also believes the U.S. won't use the same scenario as it did in the case of the war in Iraq since Iran plays a huge role in the region.

As for Turkey, it will be indirectly involved in the war as an ally to the U.S., taking into account the fact that U.S. military bases are located in Turkey's territory and it will use them immediately.

According to the Turkologist, the declarations regarding military operations against Iran "are an attempt to touch upon the moods of players in the region".

What should Armenia do in case of such a threat to the region? Iraniologist Mher Baghdasaryan finds that Armenia will simply be forced to be neutral since "Armenia has friendly ties with the neighboring countries in conflict".

"It will depend on how Armenian politicians present the situation," he underlined.

The Iraniologist ruled out military aggression against Iran because it won't favor any country besides Israel. "However, in that case, Israel will face physical annihilation, taking into account the fact Iran's nuclear energy and the fact that Iran has experience in fighting a war against Israel," Mher Baghdasaryan predicted.
