Nalbandyan meets Ali Akbar Salehi
RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan today met his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi who is on a working visit to Yerevan.
This is Salehi's first visit to Armenia during his term in office. The Armenian foreign minister praised the historically established strong and friendly bilateral ties that continue to develop through the combined efforts of both sides.
In his turn, Ali Akbar Saleh praised further development of relations with Armenia and said he would continue to followo up on the policy that has been adopted.
During the conversation, Foreign Ministers Nalbandyan and Salehi touched upon the preparations for Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinezhad's visit to Armenia scheduled later this year.
The sides discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation in politics, economy, relations between parliaments, energy, transportation, education, culture, as well as decentralized cooperation and tourism.
They also spoke of the process of implementation of agreements reached during the Armenian-Iranian inter-governmental commission's session, the MFA Department of Press and Public Relations reports.
