Another church in Etchmiadzin
The Holy Archangels Church was anointed at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin today, which marks Holy Archangels' Day. The church construction began on September 10, 2007.
The benefactor of this church built near the Gevorgyan Spiritual Lyceum is Head of Horizon 95 construction firm Gagik Galstyan and the architect is Jim Torosian.
During the ceremony, the Holy Table and columns were washed with water and wine, after which the Catholicos of All Armenians anointed the Holy Table with the Holy Muron.
Prelate of the U.S. Western Region of the Armenian Diocese, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian and Prelate of the Armenian Diocese in Damascus, Bishop Armash Nalbandian anointed the four columns of the altar.
Among participants of the ceremony were prelates and diocese delegates, benefactors and representatives of the Mother See and students of the Gevorgyan Spiritual Lyceum.
