Karen Karapetyan steps down from Elders' Council
In its special sitting held on November 4, Yerevan Municipality unanimously scheduled mayoral elections for November 15, 2011. The decision was taken in compliance with Articles 45 and 46 of the Law On Local Self-Government.
The sitting was chaired by acting Mayor Taron Margaryan who informed the presentees that on November 2 former mayor Karen Karapetyan sent in his resignation as a member of the Elders' Council.
