Yerevan ready to host Junior Eurovision 2011

Preparatory works for the Junior Eurovision 2011 are almost completed and Armenia is ready to host the song contest, Spokesman for Eurovision Armenia Tigran Danielyan told A1+.

An agreement has been reached with the European Broadcasting Union to provide the live broadcast of the contest.

"The movable stage will be finished on November 17," Danielyan said adding that the stage will be decorated with national symbols.

The song contest is set for December 3 in the K. Demirchyan Sports & Concert Complex. The sale of tickets will continue till December 2-3. According to Danielyan, a great amount of tickets had been put for sale. He also added that posters have been installed in the capital's busy streets.

Contest participants from 14 countries are due to arrive in Yerevan on November 25. The organizers of the show promise numerous surprises during the event.

The general rehearsal will be held on December 2. Armenia will be represented by Dalita Avanesyan won the national contest by SMS and jury voting during a competition in September. Sixteen songs chosen by the Armenian Public TV were performed during the competition. Dalita became the finalist of the qualifying round with her song "Welcome to Armenia."
