Ter-Petrosyan touches upon economic issues
Support A1+!RA First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan had a meeting with the delegation led by Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Jan Fisher. The delegation is in Armenia on a fact-finding mission aimed at preparing and releasing the EBRD's strategy on cooperation with Armenia in 2012-15.
During the meeting, First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan touched upon the perspectives of Armenia's economic development and the internal and external factors impeding development, including the conflicts in the region, the illegitimate government established in the country and the falsified elections, the corruption in government, the presence of monopolies, as well as the lack of democratic liberties and political counter-balance.
At the delegates' request, the First President presented the Armenian National Congress's views on the Minsk Group's efforts, Armenia's relations with Iran and the primary steps that are necessary in the country's interior political life.
Armenian National Congress central office representative Avetis Avagyan was also participating in the meeting, the ANC press service reports.
