Vahan Hovhannisyan on Mayor’s resignation
Head of ARF-D faction group Vahan Hovhannisyan points out administrative reasons behind the resignation of Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan.
"If you entrust somebody with a sphere, you shouldn't limit the scope of his powers, he must be able to work independently," Hovhannisyan said without revealing further details.
Anyway, the ARF-D MP does not think that Karen Karapetyan handed his resignation as he had been offered a well-paid job in Moscow. Hovhannisyan cited press reports according to which Karapetyan resigned to avoid participating in election processes.
