Dashnaks rule out cooperation with ANC
Armenian Revolutionary Federation - Dashnaktsutyun MP Vahan Hovhannisyan is ridiculed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan's recent statement that his Armenian National Congress (ANC) is preparing for the recurrent elections.
"A year ago the ANC said its primary goal was to change the power through snap elections. They pledged to rally 500 0000, then 200 000 people in order to topple the authorities, while today they announce that they are preparing for the next elections," Hovhannisyan told a news conference on October 31.
Asked whether the ARF-D is going to cooperate with the ANC during the elections, the ARF-D senior representative said, "It is impossible."
Earlier, ARF-D member Artyusha Shahbazyan did not rule out the cooperation, though he said his party had not discussed the issue.
"Yes, we have not considered the issue, therefore, I say it is impossible," said Hovhannisyan.
The ARF-D representative noted that at the next elections they will work with the ‘desperate' electorate who do not believe in political changes.
