Yerevan is far from Paris, municipalities are near
Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan met with Mayor of Paris, President of Francophone International Association Bertran Delanoe who is in Yerevan on an official visit.
The sides discussed a broad range of issues related to partnership between both capitals.
Expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation and holding the summit of the Francophone mayors in Yerevan, Karen Karapetyan mentioned that despite the relations established with high confidence, there was still much to do.
In his turn, Mayor of Paris Bertran Delanoe expressed gratitude for the reception that was being held in a more than friendly atmosphere and mentioned that this day was considered historical and inspiring for further development of relations between both cities.
"I am pleased to be working with you. We are interested in new ideas and approaches in technologies that can set an example and be applied in Paris as well," Bertran Delanoe mentioned.
The department of information and public relations of Yerevan Municipality informs that Karen Karapetyan reaffirmed the view that Yerevan is open and willing to implement mutually beneficial investment programs and that Yerevan can become a platform for business development with support from partners in Paris.That will promote the partnership between both cities and will form a new business culture."
Bertran Delanoe proposed to present the whole package of investment programs to circles of French businessmen at Paris Municipality.
"People in Yerevan know and demand French culture. We have to be able to develop our relations on mutually beneficial bases," Karen Karapetyan mentioned.
