Sargsyan meets Russian-based Armenian philanthropists
Serzh Sargsyan, who is in the Russian Federation on a state visit, met on Sunday with the philanthropists who financed the construction of an Armenian Apostolic church complex in Moscow.
Stressing that the Armenian-Russia strategic partnership has solid historical basis and thrives in line with the interests of the two countries, Sargsyan underlined that it is mutually beneficial to both countries.
"Among the key players of Armenian-Russian relations we cannot ignore the role and contribution of the Armenian community of Russia. It is not accidental that Russia is Armenia's trading partner and Russian businessmen are key investors in our economic sector. Armenians of Russia are the main impetus to this impressive performance and success.
The newly constructed Armenian Church in Moscow brings its blessing to all Armenians living in the Russian-based Armenian community," Sargsyan said in his addressing speech.
