Levon Ter-Petrosyan meets EBRD representatives

Armenia's First President and Leader of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Ter-Petrosyan today met with a delegation of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Levon Ter-Petrosyan presented the economic situation in Armenia, challenges and obstacles as well as ANC's approaches to cope with the existing problems.

The country's first president noted that the main obstacles hindering the country's economic growth include unfavorable external and internal factors, among them systemic corruption, existence of monopolies, lack of legal protection and democratic freedoms and others.

At the request of the EBRD delegates, Levon Ter-Petrosyan also referred to Armenian-Turkish relations, as well as perspectives of Karabakh impasse resolution, ANC press service reported.
