Political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan exludes any possible cooperation between the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and opposition alliance Armenian National Congress (ANC).

"As long as the BHK remains within the ruling coalition, there can be no cooperation between the two forces," Iskandaryan told journalists on October 19.

The political scientist is uncertain as to how many seats the ANC will take in the National Assembly during the 2012 parlaimentary elections.

"I do not think that Levon Ter-Petrosyan [ANC leader] will agree to follow Gagik Tsarukyan [BHK leader] on the party ticket," said Iskandaryan.

The mass media created a stir over BHK's possible withdrawal from the Coalition, linking it Robert Kocharyan's alledged return to big politics. However, Iskandaryan says these two are not linked.

"Yes, Kocharyan had his role in the establishment of the BHK, but his role is equally great in the case of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK)," he concluded.
