The ruling Republican Party (HHK) is said to have given a week to its senior coalition partner Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) to decide on its participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Talking to A1+, opposition Heritage faction MP Stepan Safaryan said, "All parties that consider themselves to be democratic forces have no right to set deadlines."
However, the rumours make Safaryan think that the memorandum signed between the coalition parties in February 2010 is outdated.

Heritage is the only force that presented a serious political démarche against the coalition memorandum, after which the coalition parties declared that the document does not imply any obligations," the Heritage MP told A1+.

"The HHK does not allow anyone to shrink from responsibility for the country's policy. Here is the problem," he said.

Safaryan says it is a solvable issue and the BHK will strike a bargain with the HHK.

The ARF-Dashnaktsutyun refrained from commenting on HHK-BHK relations as long as there was no official information.

"When the HHK officially announces that they have given the BHK a week, we shall comment on it," ARF-Dashnaktsutyun's Spokesman Spartak Seyranyan told A1+.
