Initiative group asks information from Defense Minister
A civic initiative group has sent a letter to Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan asking him for information for the period of May 12, 1994, to Sept. 30, 2011.
In the letter, the initiative has asked for
the list of those dead, missing and subject to violence in Armenia's Armed Forces, including their first and last names, place of residence, and causes and circumstances surrounding their death, missing or disability status
the list of the servicemen punished for violating army regulations, committing murders or other army crimes, including the servicemen's ranks and the punishment imposed on them.
the number of servicemen convicted for military crimes by courts, who, after serving their sentences, continue serving in the armed forces.
the number of servicemen demobilized for health reasons.
the list of officers sent abroad to receive education or take training courses, including information on officers that continue serving in the Armenia's Armed Forces.
the list of organizations that won the tender for state procurement and supply food, medication, uniforms, and stationery to Armenia's Armed Forces.
