Criminal case filed over soldier's death
A criminal case has been instituted in connection with the death of serviceman Vladimir Asatryan who reportedly shot himself with a submachine gun, while on military duty in the north- eastern part of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. The case was filed in line with Article 110 (Part 1) of the Armenian Criminal Code, the Ministry of Defense reported.
The circle of military personnel who could have pushed the serviceman to suicide is already known. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the death.
At the same time, the Ministry says that Asatryan has not mentioned any officer among the names he wrote on his left palm.
Earlier it was reported that Asatryan had written on his palm the names of soldiers and officers who supposedly drove him to suicide.
