Students not allowed to go to Yerevan
Residents of Ashtarak haven't been able to leave the region for six days now.
When students tried to go to class today, local road patrol officers didn't even let the student bus leave the city.
Police officers have instructed passengers not to get out of the bus and return home, telling them to "wait until passions stop flaring in Yerevan, that is, when the ANC stops its rallies".
Citizen of Ashtarak Meline Minasyan told "A1+" that she didn't know how she would be able to give taxi drivers 1,500 drams to reach Yerevan and pay the same amount to return to Ashtarak.
Meline says whereas the police allowed students to at least get out of the city, now there are no student buses at all.
"People can only leave Ashtarak with taxis or their own cars," Meline Minasyan says.
