ANC sues Armenian police
The Armenian National Congress (ANC) has filed an action against the Armenian police, demanding to ban their access to Liberty Square where the ANC is holding nonstop street protests," Gagik Jhangiryan, a senior member of the Armenian National Congress, said at Liberty Square on Wednesday.
"Police have no right to label ANC rallies as illegal. The statement of some officials who claim that the rallies are not sanctioned show that these people do not have the slightest notion about law and legislation," he said.
"How can police announce that the rallies are held without incidents and they are ready to assist its participants, and at the same time say that the rally is illegal?" said Jhangiryan.
