“Fear is monstruous”
Speaking at the ANC's round-the-clock rally, TV journalist, Artsakh war veteran Suren Sargsyan spoke of the police acting as slaves and clowns and mentioned that the main reason was because they have been forced not to serve the legislation, but oligarchs and the bandit regime.
In his speech, former political prisoner Vardan Malkhasyan cited Hrant Matevosyan, saying "The real Armenian is one that withstands and resists."
He called on those gathered at Freedom Square and the entire nation to be persistent and continue the struggle for the ideas.
"Unfortunately, most of the people have gotten used to living in fear. They don't do anything but complain," Vardan Malkhasyan mentioned.
He also cited Garegin Nzhdeh's words, saying "To win, you must win fear since that fear is monstruous". He also mentioned that the ANC was leading a national liberation struggle since the war for living in a free country was no different from the Artsakh war.
"If we retreat, we will lose everything, including a free homeland, independence and our future of living as dignified people," Malkhasyan said. According to him, the events of March 1 took place because citizens tolerated the events of October 27, the brutal murder of Poghos Poghosyan and many other crimes.
