Supporters of opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) are putting up tents at Yerevan's Liberty Square as part of non-stop rallies the start of which was declared earlier today.

Some ‘inhabitants of temporary lodging' have brought warm clothes with them. Demonstrators are singing and dancing to cheerful music.

By the order of ANC Leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan, music will be stopped at 10.00 p.m. in order not to disturb people living nearby.
As reported earlier, a concert is being held on Northern Avenue, with the police chaining the section between the square and the avenue.

"The police fear least the concert participants might join the demonstrators, therefore, they have blockaded the streets. But they can find a way anyway," Chairman of the board of the Armenian Pan-National Movement (HHSh) Aram Manukyan said when addressing the participants of the round-the-clock sit-in.

During today's rally, the opposition leaders declared the start of nonstop demonstrations to put more pressure on the authorities to resign. They gave the authorities seven days to meet the opposition's demands, at the same time expressing readiness to return to the negotiation table.
