Celebrated Armenia’s independence under Karabakh flag
The Armenian community in Almelo, Netherlands held a grand celebration dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence.
According to "Yerkramas", in her speech at the solemn event held at the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall, Armenian Ambassador to the Netherlands Dzyunik Aghajanyan gave a patriotic speech under the enormous flag of Nagorno-Karabakh. Apparently, there was no Armenian national flag in the Netherlands or the embassy, for that matter.
Ambassador Aghajanyan spoke of Armenia's achievements and economic successes in the past 20 years, but fell short of recalling Karabakh at least once.
