Felonies in Armenia
On September 26, police officers arrested a 25-year old man at the underground section of Isahakyan and Abovyan intersection. The man was charged with a bandit attack.
Police found out that he had robbed a pair of glasses after threatening the female seller of a glasses store at the underground section with a knife.
An investigation found an 8 cm knife. The item has been confiscated and preliminary investigation is underway.
Ran over and fled
On September 26, the driver of an unknown car ran over a 35-year old man in front of building #26 on Bagratunyats Street. The man was transferred to the hospital with physical injuries. Investigation is underway.
On the same day, the driver of an unknown car ran over a 9-year old boy in front of building #25 on Chekhov Street. The boy was transferred to the hospital with physical injuries. Investigation is underway.
Be careful with minibus drivers
On September 26, the driver of a Volkswagen bus made a stop at the intersection on the 1st cul-de-sac of Atcharyan Street in Avan district and hurt one of the passengers. The passenger was transferred to the hospital with physical injuries. Investigation is underway.
Theft
On September 26, police officers of the RA Police Masis Division arrested a 44-year old man by the name of Samvel Nersisyan, whom police officers of the Russian city of Kaluga had been searching for theft since February 12, 2008.
On the same day, police officers of the RA Police Ani Division arrested a 64-year old woman who had been wanted for a hooligan act since September 23.
