"We shall talk when Hayrapetyan beats someone"
"I highly appreciate Ruben Hayrapetyan's intolerant attitude towards drug addicts and people with different inclinations," Republican Party Spokesman Edward Sharmazanov told journalists on Sept. 26.
"The Republican Mp simply expressed his opinion. We shall discuss his behavior when he beats someone," said Sharmazanov.
Talking to journalists last week, Hayrapetyan said he was going to beat drug-addicts.
"Clashes are in the past"
The ghost of political clashes does not scare HHK Spokesman Edward Sharmazanov.
"The clashes are in the past," he told a news conference today.
The Republican official does not see serious premises that could lead to a collision with the extra-parliamentary opposition.
According to the HHK spokesman, the legislative body has already introduced amendments to the Electoral Code which will be tested during the 2012 presidential elections.
Asked whether the authorities will allow the opposition to continue its rallies in the city centre without any further conflicts, Sharmazanov said, "If the rallies are legitimate and sanctioned, it is up to them [opposition] to decide the ways of struggle."
